Phoenix Foods has the capability to produce almost any dry mix food product thanks to the deployment of
flexible batch control systems in the manufacturing process. Naturally, various areas of specialisation have
emerged as detailed below. However, with an active R&D team and an ongoing programme of
new product development, these areas are being steadily expanded.

Instant Tea
We have developed a vast range of flavoured instant teas, designed to be drunk either hot or
cold, and the flexibility of our production processes allows for such products to be packed
into a variety of formats. These products are available as either sugar based or low calorie
and can be packed into composite drums, single serve sachets, twin sachets or sachets in cartons.

Cornflour Tubs and Cartons
With the growing interest in home baking and cooking, cornflour is an important product within
the Phoenix range. The raw material itself is handled in bulk to increase production
efficiencies and packed into 250g, 500g and 750 bag-in-box along with composite drums of varying sizes.

Drinking Chocolate And Cocoa Tubs
Hot beverages are our speciality and a vast number of products have been developed to suit particular tastes. Development work is
constantly underway to improve the range and to develop new and exciting flavours. In addition,
Phoenix Foods is registered with the Soil Association and as such, now has a growing range of
organic products to offer.

Bags and Sachets in Cartons
The flexibility of production lines, and of course our staff, means that we are able to change
machines very quickly and efficiently between products, so making best use of machinery and time.
This allows us to pack an extensive range of products from gravy powder to instant chocolate
drinks in bag/sachet-in-box format.

Twin Sachets
Twin sachets display well on-shelf and offer great value. Again, a vast range of products suit
this packaging format, and products from the Phoenix range include low calorie soups,
chocolate drinks, powdered soft drinks and instant teas.

Single Sachets
We have seven horizontal sachet machines here at Phoenix, each capable of packing single
sachets from 10g to 100g. These machines are ideally suited to products such as instant custard
and desserts, low calorie hot chocolate drinks and all types of powdered beverages.
